Step 2: Recommendation Voting

Understanding the Recommendation Vote Page
- Here is a list of the sections that have recommendations that require voting. You will also see a count of the total number of recommendations and the number of completed votes.
- The organizer may attach relevant documents to assist you in the voting process. Materials will typically include background reference material such as the complete manuscript or evidence supplements.
- You will find the recommendation text and any associated variables such as class or recommendation or level of evidence displayed here.
- The system allows you to accept, reject or in some cases recuse from voting.
For each recommendation there is also a comment box allowing you to add comments for the editors of the recommendations. - Save and Finalize
- If you choose to save and return Indico strongly recommends that you Save and exit the vote and log out of the application.
- Finalizing is possible once you have completed voting. (More details in finalization are found later in this outline)

How to Complete a Vote
For each recommendation in the vote you are required to click on one of the radio buttons to either accept, reject or recuse from voting.
There are ten votes per page and once you complete a group of 10 you can navigate to the next page using the buttons at either the top of the bottom of the page.
Rejected Votes
Sometimes the organizers will require all rejected votes to have a comment outlining why the recommendation was rejected.
If this is the case the comment box border will turn red as will the section heading box on the left side of the page.
You cannot finalize your review until all you provide a comment for all rejected votes.
Automatic Recusal
If you have a relationship with industry that creates a potential conflict of interest with one or more recommendations, the system will automatically recuse you from voting on those recommendations. In this case you will see a note telling you that you have been automatically recused. You can leave a comment for these recommendations if you wish.
Completing a Section
Once you have completed all the votes for a given section the left hand side section header will turn green.
